Selling Your Boat Privately

While listing your boat with POP Yachts, you can still sell it privately to anyone who was not first found through POP’s marketing efforts.

You’ll be sent a weekly seller’s report of people who have inquired about or viewed your boat online. These are considered “registered buyers.”

Should any of these potential buyers (or their partner, spouse, relative, etc.) contact you directly after first finding your boat though us, please have them contact your broker.

If you are currently working with any interested buyers who are not yet registered with us, please just let your broker know and they can enter them as such.

If you would like to cancel your listing for any reason, these “registered buyers” are protected for a period of six months. Should you sell to them within this time period, commission will still be due to us.

—> If you decide to list with another broker, please check the contract carefully before signing. Many brokerages require that commission is due to them if you sell to anyone within a period of six to twelve months after cancellation.

You can also still use your boat while it’s listed with us, unlike consignment programs.
